Since 2002, Mr. Sterling has been the vocalist and co-song writer for the experimental rock band Vamp Star. The sound of VS is an experimental blending of disco, hard rock, world music, and 70s-style exploitation film music, often with a focus on B-movies and exploitation films.
And though experimental, their songs keep a solid pop structure, making them far more accessible than many multi-genre groups. That said, it's still some pretty weird stuff.
